So, to stay as current as possible with the trends of this amazing future world of the 21st century, I have decided to have a book signing of my own. After all, I now have my new book, “Ben’s Blog,” fresh off the press. That would make an excellent book to sign, don’t you agree?
A delightful acquaintance of mine, Katharyn Dawson, who together with her husband Keith own an establishment called “Second Hand Prose Books,” has graciously invited me to be a guest at her shoppe next Saturday, January 17 – which just so happens to be my birthday!
Second Hand Prose is located in Groton, Massachusetts (the state of my birthplace, Boston!), at 30 Hollis Street. On the internet, you can read more about them at www.secondhandprosebooks.com/
Since I am not familiar with this new custom of “book signing,” it should be an interesting evening. I suppose I will share a few tales about my amazing experience with time travel, and how I unexpectedly arrived here. We may also chat with visitors, and read some entries from my 21st century journal (which you call a blog nowadays). And, of course, we will also have a goodly quantity of my books available for sale. Naturally, with every purchase, you will be able to have your copy autographed by yours truly.
There have already been a few articles in local newspapers (Nashoba Publishing’s Groton News, and the Groton Herald), as well as online links through Twitter and other social media.
I would be most pleased if you would be able to attend this convivial gathering – it promises to be quite an evening.
The book signing and other festivities begin at 7:30pm.
Your humble servant,
B.Franklin
