But it is time now to take that bold step. Otherwise, the history books and the various television and film accounts that have chronicled not only my own life, but also the amazing, inspiring, otherworldly exploits of this Time Lord popularly known as The Doctor would continue to lack the necessary context and connections that could allow you, the reader, to make any sense at all of the events of these past few years, decades, and even centuries!
As I have observed in a previous blog, to make a long story short, the very reason I am now here among you, in this astounding 21st century of yours, is most likely due to a situation that I was not truly aware of, up until the present time.
You may have found yourself asking at times, how did I, Benjamin Franklin, a humble tinkerer and scientist from the 1700s, manage to invent all the things I did, make all the voyages to Europe and elsewhere, help birth a nation, and acquire the kind of knowledge I possessed, coming from such simple, primitive times like the Colonial era in American history?
Without giving away too much of the story, I have decided to take advantage of your modern audio and visual digital media in order to reveal and clarify the convergence between myself and this person you call The Doctor. It is a startling, eye-opening revelation that will finally allow all the details to fall into place, much like a puzzle whose pieces have now come together, painting a phenomenal picture that no one could ever have imagined at the outset.

And so, I would like to inform you that the very first episode of my story... what you moderns apparently call a "podcast"... is now available for viewing on Youtube at
http://youtu.be/axy5rx33Ajo ... or, if you prefer, you may simply listen to it instead, by calling it up on iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/ben-franklin-timetraveler/id975382919 , where there are also two additional episodes as well.
I'd encourage you to see it, at your convenience, and then ponder whether this helps to answer a lot of questions and clear up a number of mysteries which have perplexed students of history over hundreds, maybe thousands, of years.
As the story plays out over a number of episodes, I feel confident that you, like myself, will have numerous "aha!" moments when two and two are finally put together. And like that famous lightning bolt experiment of mine, once this happens, the world will certainly never be the same again.
Your humble servant,
B.Franklin
