Not only that, according to some commentators, the events of the past few weeks show flagrant violations of the rule of law keep piling up.
Refusing to enforce the sanctions against Russia that were overwhelmingly approved by Congress (that means the sanctions are actually a law passed and approved by the government) is one of the biggest red flags so far (play on words intended), pointing to not only traitorous collaboration with a foreign power, but also to an arbitrary and dangerous exercise of executive power — by not enforcing these sanctions, the president is violating this particular legal measure, as well as the sworn oath to uphold the laws of the land. At the same time, he is putting out a welcome mat for America's enemies to bend, fold, and mutilate our laws and policies any way they wish, whenever it is in their interests (not ours) to do so.
This would be like a firefighter showing up for a fire, and then deciding on his/her own to shirk the duties of their position... and worse yet, instead of trying to contain or put out the fire, pouring gasoline on it to make it even worse!
Your humble servant,
