And history is made once again, my friends! For someone like myself who has become well-known for the "old" technology of printing, it is indeed an honor and a privilege to now make my debut on the "picture box," as I describe it — or, as you 21st century people call it, "cable television." I have been appearing as a regular guest on a show called Tymelines, which can be viewed on The Groton Channel, in Groton, Massachusetts.
We have now taped about four or five weeks' worth of shows, and they have touched on all sorts of subjects near and dear to my heart, including science and inventions; the French and Indian War; Poor Richard's Almanack; music; and much more! The host (in my day we would have called her "hostess") of Tymelines, Eleanor Gavazzi, not only manages to share quite a great deal of her own historical knowledge, she also presides over a quite delightful give-and-take conversation, trading quips and stories with yours truly, creating an extremely entertaining program each week, literally out of thin air. While at present I'm not certain whether you can call up or go to The Groton Channel to obtain information about when this program airs, but at the very least, if you click here, you will be able to watch an excerpt from the very first show, which was cobbled together by an acquaintance of mine who is well-versed in these amazing ways of modern technology, and then posted on Youtube. Your humble servant, B.Franklin |
